PH1 Push Hands


In this partner exercise, postures and movements from the form are applied to Push Hands (T'ui Shou). Students are introduced to one-handed Push Hands practice and begin to learn to "listen" to a partner's balance, timing, and tension and yield to their movements. "Push Hands" is taught in a non-confrontational way, focusing on our stability, balance, relaxation and ability to interact with another in harmony.
